If you’re a fan of the Diablo series, then you’re probably well aware of the upcoming beta for D4. If for some reason this is news to you, we got you covered.

There will be two open beta periods for Diablo IV in March 2023. The first is for anyone who pre-ordered the game and will take place from March 4th to March 6th. The second open beta period will take place from March 11th to March 13th and will be open to everyone. During both open beta periods, players will have access to the first taste of the campaign via the Prologue and the entirety of Act 1, as well as the first zone, Fractured Peaks.

Players will have access to the three initial classes: Barbarian, Sorceress, and Rogue. The open beta will also reward players with a cosmetic item called the Beta Wolf Pack, which can be earned by reaching level 20 (as well as two titles). In terms of gameplay, the open beta will allow players to intimately explore the early game of Diablo IV for the entirety of the beta periods. Additionally, the open beta will offer some new details on how Armor works in Diablo 4. Armor has a cap of up to 85% damage reduction for Physical damage, grants a minor Elemental ( Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison, and Shadow) damage reduction, capped at only 30%.

If you’re interested in participating in the open beta, keep an eye out for the pre-download option, which will be available closer to the beginning of both phases. The open beta will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S and X.
